| 24LC09-I/P Description | | Note:This product has become 'Obsolete' and is no longer offered as a viable device.Please Consider 24LC08B InsteadThe 24LC09 is an 8-Kbit Electrically Erasable PROM (EEPROM) that is designed with a custom device address to meet the requirements of the Advanced Communications Riser Special Interest Group (ACR SIG) Specification. This EEPROM will be used in the next generation Audio Modem Riser (AMR) cards as the enumeration memory for several chipset designs to allow plug-and-play capabilities. This will allow the system bios of an ACR compatible personal computer to recognize the Riser Card for complete transparency to the computer's operating system when other standard 2-wire ACR Serial Bus memory devices are used. The organization of this memory is 1K x 8 bits with a 2-wire ACR Serial Bus for communications. This device has page write capabilities with a page size that may be varied from 1 to16 bytes. Pin addressing is not used in this design. The 24LC09 maintains a maximum standby current of only 1 uA and typical active current of only 500 uA. This device features a broad temperature range of (-40°C to +85°C) and a wide voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V. The 24LC09 applications range from modems, Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and audio technologies as supported by the ACR-SIG Specification.
